Uzumecki helped the Warhawk wrestling team finish second at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship and third at the NCAA Upper Midwest Regional with a strong season competing at heavyweight in 2020. He finished with a 23-18 record and second team All-WIAC honors after finishing as the heavyweight runner-up at the conference meet. Uzumecki followed up that performance with a sixth-place showing at the regional tournament. As a freshman in 2017-18, Uzumecki tallied a 9-11 record with two pins. He is majoring in environmental science.
