Meinerz was a consensus All-American in 2019, when he helped the Warhawk football team win the WIAC championship and reach the Stagg Bowl (NCAA Division III national championship game). He was a first team selection by the Associated Press and the American Football Coaches Association and a second team honoree by D3football.com. Meinerz appeared in all 15 games last fall, helping UW-Whitewater average 30.1 points per game and a league-leading 195.7 rushing yards per contest. He garnered team Most Valuable Player accolades for his performance. A two-year captain, Meinerz has been named All-WIAC and D3football.com All-West Region twice. He is a two-year member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll and is majoring in physical education.
