Hackett played an integral role in helping the Warhawk men's cross country team post its highest NCAA Midwest Regional finish in nearly a decade in 2019. He recorded a time of 26:35.5 in the 8-kilometer race to finish among the top third of entries and help UW-Whitewater to eighth place. Hackett placed 32nd at the WIAC Championship two weeks earlier with a time of 27:43.2. A consistent varsity finisher since the start of his career, Hackett holds the No. 50 personal record time in program history, a 25:45.4 from last fall's UW-Eau Claire Blugold Invitational. He is majoring in information technology and is a two-year member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll.
