Julio Perez (Watertown, Wis./Kettle Moraine), Freshman
Perez topped a field of 35 competitors in the discus throw with a personal record toss of 163-08 (49.90 meters) on Saturday at the UW-Whitewater Drake Alternative Meet at Rex Foster Track. His mark currently ranks second in the WIAC and ninth in NCAA Division III and bested his previous career best by more than 20 feet. Perez also placed fourth out of 20 in the shot put with a 50-00.50 (15.25 meters) and currently ranks fourth in the WIAC in that event.
