Matthias pitched three straight shutouts, including one no-hitter, last week to help the 13th-ranked Warhawks to a 6-0 record, including four WIAC wins to help the team clinch the conference regular season championship and No. 1 seed in this week's league tournament. She allowed only two walks and struck out eight in her second no-hitter of the season and the program's 18th in history in UW-Whitewater's 8-0 victory in five innings at UW-Stout on Saturday. One day earlier, Matthias tossed a two-hit shutout with nine strikeouts in the team's 8-0 triumph in five innings at UW-River Falls. She started the week Tuesday with a three-hit shutout and six strikeouts in the Warhawks' 10-0 win in six innings at Carthage. Matthias now has nine shutouts for the year, including four in her last five games.
