Malia Smith (Bolingbrook, Ill./Neuqua Valley), Sophomore, Guard
Smith tallied a career-high 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting and added five rebounds and three steals to help the No. 17 Warhawks defeat No. 18 UW-River Falls 62-59 on Saturday at Kachel Gymnasium. She was also 4-of-4 from the free-throw line and posted 12 of her points in the second half to help hold off a rally by the Falcons. Smith also registered a team-best eight rebounds to go along with four points and three steals in UW-Whitewater's 74-47 triumph at UW-River Falls last Wednesday. For the week, she averaged 12.0 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.0 steals per game while shooting 64.3 percent from the field and 6-of-6 at the free-throw line.
