Corey Meredith joins the UW-Whitewater strength performance staff before the 2025 fall season. He is primarily assisting the Warhawk football, men's soccer, and softball programs.Â
Meredith brings over two decades of strength and conditioning experience at various levels. Most recently, he was the Assistant Director for Football Sports Performance at the University of Central Florida from 2021 to 2024. In this role, he was responsible for the football strength and conditioning program, including in-season and off-season training, as well as post-eligibility training for NFL preparation. He played a crucial role in two consecutive postseason bowl appearances and had two of his student-athletes sign contracts with NFL organizations.
Before coming to UCF, Meredith worked as the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for Football at Kansas State University for 11 years from 2010 to 2021. During his time at K-State, Meredith was known for his forward-thinking approach to developing training systems that utilized velocity-based training technology to drive programming and decrease soft-tissue injury rates, while maximizing the performance of the athletes he trained. His programming and system development was a key contributor to the Wildcats’ Big 12 Championship in 2012, and eight consecutive bowl game appearances. Meredith was also responsible for leading the initial design concept of the current Vanier Family Football Complex, and was in charge of NFL Combine and Pro Day preparation from 2010 to 2017.
Prior to Kansas State, Meredith worked for the University of Kansas (2005–2009) as the Director of Strength & Conditioning for Football and Women’s Tennis. He was responsible for all phases of training and also contributed to the design and build-out of their football weight room and field facilities. At KU, Meredith helped the Jayhawks to their first back-to-back bowl appearances, and the first BCS bowl victory in school history.
Meredith has also worked outside of the collegiate environment as a performance consultant with the U.S. Army’s 1st Infantry Division Best Ranger teams and as a Client Performance Manager for EliteForm LLC, where he supported a wide array of coaches across the country in the implementation of technology driven training systems.
Meredith earned a Master’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of Kansas, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Fitness, and Wellness from Bethany College, where he also was a team captain, Academic All-American, and was a standout defensive lineman. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA, and has current CPR/AED certifications.
