Broderick Frye joined the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater intercollegiate athletics staff in July 2023 as the Assistant Sports Information Director. In his role, he serves as the primary media contact for men's and women's soccer, men's and women's tennis, men's basketball, and baseball.

Before joining UW-Whitewater, Frye worked as a student assistant in the Athletic Communications Office at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. There, he supported the Director of Athletic Communications with writing, statistical tracking, and other game day operations.

Frye earned his bachelor's degree in Professional Communication and Emerging Media with a concentration in Digital Humanities from UW-Stout in May 2023. His undergraduate thesis explored historical statistical trends in WIAC women’s basketball. That same year, he presented his research on artificial intelligence in sports journalism to state legislators and representatives at Research in the Rotunda in Madison, Wisconsin.

In 2025, Frye completed a Master of Science in Data Analytics at UW-Whitewater, along with a graduate certificate in Digital Marketing and Artificial Intelligence.

A Whitewater native, Frye graduated from Whitewater High School in 2020.
