Brittany Sykes enters her third year as an assistant coach (throws) for the UW-Whitewater men's and women's track and field programs in 2021-22.


Sykes completed her first year on the UW-Whitewater track and field coaching staff for the 2019-2020 season as the interim throws coach for the Warhawks. She helped Daustin Martin qualify for the 2020 NCAA Indoor Championships in the weight throw.

Sykes currently attends UW-Whitewater and is working toward a bachelor's in business general management with an emphasis in sports programming and a minor in coaching.

As a member of the Warhawk women's track and field team from 2016-19, Sykes was a four-year letter winner, competing as a thrower. She was a WIAC Championship medalist in the discus and javelin throws.

Sykes, a native of Fort Atkinson, served as a senior captain on the team in the 2019 season as well as volunteered to help with the throwers at the learn-by-doing clinic from 2016-19.
