Kathleen Folbrecht

Kathleen is in her third year with the UW-Whitewater coaching staff. Her responsibilities will be working with the women's 400 meter sprinters, recruiting and meet mangement.  She will be pursuing a Master’s Degree in Counseling with an emphasis in Higher Level Education in order to pursue a career as an College Counselor. She graduated from UW-Stevens Point in 2010 with a Communication major and minors in both Psychology and Business Administration. While at UW-SP she also worked as a tour guide in Admissions as well as volunteering in the community. 
As a four year letter winner as a track athlete at UW-Stevens Point coach Folbrecht also participated in volleyball for one year. She qualified for the NCAA National meet 12 times for Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field and earned nine All-American awards (7 times for 4x400m relay and twice in open 400m) as well as being Academic All-American. In the WIAC conference, she earned All-Conference honors as well as the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll Award. As a senior she was nominated for the scholar athlete award and was a member of the All-WIAC Sportsmanship team. She was named team captain in both her junior and senior years and was also runner of the year her junior year and voted most dedicated her senior year. She leaves UW-Stevens Point as a record holder in both the Indoor and Outdoor 4x400 relay, sprint medley relay, and distance medley relay.
