Josh Krieter is in his eighth season as an assistant coach for the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men’s and women’s tennis teams in 2025-26. He is previously connected to UW-Whitewater through the UW-Whitewater tennis camps, which he has been a staff member of since 2016.
Krieter played Division I collegiate tennis for the United States Military Academy – West Point, and at times, traveled as far away as Spain to train on the red clay. During his tenure, he garnered Patriot League Academic Honor Roll laurels, achieved the Academy's Dean's List each semester, and graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in 2011 with an honors thesis in Mathematical Sciences. Upon graduation, Krieter was commissioned as an officer in the US Army, and attended the Military's premier leadership training: Ranger School. After securing his Ranger Tab, he became a Platoon Leader in the 82nd Airborne Division, where he assumed the role of leading, training, and mentoring the 41 Paratroopers in his platoon.
Deciding to return to his native Minneapolis, MN, Krieter is currently a USPTR certified, full-time tennis Professional at Life Time Athletic in the Twin Cities. Although he coaches all levels, he specializes in Junior Development and High Performance players.
