Adam Kelly joined the UW-Whitewater sports medicine staff as an athletic trainer in January 2021. He also serves as a lecturer in UW-Whitewater's Department of Kinesiology.
Kelly most recently worked in a clinical role with Probility Physical Therapy's sports medicine clinic in Ann Arbor, Mich.
Kelly earned his bachelor's in athletic training from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2012. He worked clinical rotations with many of the Panthers' teams, including men's basketball, men's soccer and cross country/track and field. He completed his undergraduate work with an internship at UW-Whitewater, working with the national champion football and men's basketball teams in 2011-12.
Kelly received his master's in athletic training from Illinois State University in 2014. While completing his graduate work, he worked as a graduate assistant at Illinois Wesleyan, where he was the primary athletic trainer for men's basketball while assisting with football, cross country and tennis.
From 2014-17, Kelly enrolled in additional graduate coursework at the University of Miami (Fla.) and Michigan State University, where he focused on reserach related to anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries.
Kelly resides in McFarland with his wife, Nicole, the couple's 1-year-old daughter, and three dogs.
