Matt Dollins has been coaching since 1994 at Pewaukee High School and at UW-Whitewater in both cross country and track.  He has coached four state championship teams in girls cross country from 2001-2003, and 2009.  Dollins has also had numerous cross country teams finish in the top 5.   In 2002, Dollins was named coach of the year for cross country in Wisconsin.  In track, he has coached many all-conference athletes, all-state athletes, and state champions in various distance events from the 800-3200 meters, 4x400 and 4x800 relays.

While an assistant coach at UW-Whitewater, Dollins has helped many student-athletes reach personal bests in various distances, with many of them earning all-conference and national recognition.

His coaching philosophy focuses on the individual student-athlete and what they need to succeed. He is a firm believer in a quality verses quantity approach when coaching middle and long distances.

Dollins graduated in 1995 with a Bachelor's degree in Special Education from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, where he competed on the cross country and track teams.  He also earned his master's degree in sports administration from UW-LaCrosse.  Dollins is a USATF Level 1 certified Track and Field coach in distance events as well as a member of the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
