Kyle Heikkinen

Kyle Heikkinen enters his fourth season as an assistant coach with the UW-Whitewater men’s basketball program in 2016-17.

Over the last three seasons, the Warhawks have compiled a record of 69-18, including a 35-11 mark in Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play. UW-Whitewater won the NCAA Division III national championship in 2014, and swept the WIAC regular season and tournament titles one year later.

Prior to his stop at UW-Whitewater, Heikkinen compiled an extensive coaching background that spanned five seasons with the Fort Atkinson High School boys' basketball and football programs.

The Fort Atkinson, Wis., native also brings a widespread recruiting background to the program having worked for ESPN Wisconsin, Rivals.com and 247Sports. As a member of Rivals.com, Heikkinen spent three years, from 2007-2010, as a recruiting analyst covering high school basketball and football across the Midwest. During his most recent stop with 247Sports from 2010-2013, Heikkinen was named Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of Badger247.com, covering athletics for the University of Wisconsin.
