Coach Jarod Wichser was named Head Coach for the UW-Whitewater Men's Basketball program in the summer of 2024. Wichser became the 14th head coach for the men's basketball team in 114 seasons.
After Pat Miller's retirement in 2023, Wichser was named interim head coach for the 2023-24 season. Wichser went 17-9 (7-7 WIAC) during his interim year.
Prior to being named head coach, Wichser served six seasons as an assistant coach for the UW-Whitewater men's basketball team.
In his previous position as head boys basketball coach at Belleville High School, Wichser oversaw all facets of the Wildcats’ program, including game preparation, budget, camps and clinics, fundraising, scouting, video analysis, community service and hiring staff.
Wichser graduated from UW-Whitewater in 2012 with a degree in elementary/middle education. He earned his master's in professional development (higher education athletic administration emphasis) from UW-W in 2018.
Wichser and his wife, Casey, and the couple's two children, Daniel and Cora, reside in Evansville
