Drew Bryson enters his second season as an assistant coach for the UW-Whitewater men's basketball team in 2018-19. His primarily responsibilities include recruiting, fundraising, scouting, film breakdown and analysis and in-game statistics.
Bryson, a native of nearby Elkhorn, was a four-year guard for the Warhawks from 2013-17. He was a member of the 2014 national championship team and 2015 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regular season and tournament title team, and helped UW-Whitewater reach the NCAA Tournament three times during his career. Bryson finished his career tied for 19th in program history in games played (105), 28th in 3-pointers attempted (166) and tied for 29th in 3-pointers made (56).
A two-year starter and captain, Bryson was selected to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll in 2014-15 and the WIAC All-Sportsmanship Team in 2016-17.
Bryson graduated with a bachelor's in finance from UW-Whitewater last May.
