The Mercy Sports Medicine Center athletic training room in the Williams Center opened in 2001 when Kachel Fieldhouse opened and Williams Center was renovated. The room contains separate areas for taping, rehabilitation and evaluation. In addition, offices, a private physician examination room and a hydrotherapy room are available for treatment.
The examination room is utilized by various allied health professionals during the week, and the hydrotherapy room consists of multiple whirlpools, an ice machine and cooler storage. The rehabilitation area is equipped with various electrical modalities and rehabilitation equipment. An Alter G Anti-Gravity Treadmill is also available. Both athletic training facilities handle numerous sports and a variety of student athletes.
