The building, located on the south end of Perkins Stadium and north end of campus, opened in the fall of 2003. The facility includes a reception and display area, a large meeting room that can be divided, computer lab, conference room, staff shower and locker room, and offices for football, golf, softball and soccer.
The building was named in honor of former Warhawk staff member Bob Berezowitz in dedication ceremonies September 22, 2012. Berezowitz conceived the idea of the SAC, and was instrumental in planning the facility and raising funds for its construction. Over the course of twenty-two years as football coach he compiled a 158-73-4 football record that included eight WIAC titles and NCAA Division III playoff berths five times. He guided UW-W into its first two Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl appearances, earning national runner-up honors in 2005 and 2006. A 1967 graduate, he also taught in the Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Coaching Department and had facility management responsibilities over his twenty-five year tenure at UW-W.
