Trinity Tops ONU

Trinity University, ranked eighth in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division III poll, blanked Ohio Northern University 5-0 in the second round of the Whitewater Regional in the NCAA Division III championship tournament at the Four Lakes Athletic Club in Elkhorn, Wisconsin Saturday.

Trinity, 19-9, will face Gustavus Adolphus College, 22-9 and ranked eighteenth, for the right to advance to the NCAA III championship finals in Kalamazoo, Michigan May 20-22.  Gustavus defeated UW-W 5-3 in another second round match.  The Trinity-Gustavus match is scheduled for 12:00 on the Wangerin Courts on the UW-Whitewater campus. 

Saturday's matches were scheduled to be played on the UW-W campus, but were moved indoors because of high winds.  If Sunday's location or time should change it will be posted on UW-Whitewater's regional championship website.

Ohio Northern won its first round match with Concordia University-Wisconsin 5-0 Friday to set up the match with Trinity.  Trinity had a first round bye.
