WHITEWATER, WI — The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Women's Cross Country team won the Tom Hoffmann Invitational while the Men's Cross Country team placed second in the Warhawks' 2026 home meet.

The Warhawk women began the day with an outstanding all-around performance. UWW had all 13 runners place within the top 16.

Abi Anderson (Janesville, Wis./Craig) won the women's 6K in 23:42.5 with a 6:21.5 average mile with Brinley Everson (Waunakee, Wis./Waunakee) following in at second place with 24:14.8. 

For the men, the Warhawks had four runners in the top ten, as Conner Murphy (Sheboygan Falls, Wis./Sheboygan Falls) placed second in the men's 8K in 26:02.8, averaging 5:14.4 per mile. Nick Wendl (Milwaukee, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) added a fourth-place finish in the 8K in 26:12.3. Keegan Bratt (Waukesha, Wis./West) and Matt Andreano finished 7th (26:27.8) and 8th (26:28.4) respectively. 

The Warhawks will compete next on Saturday, October 3rd in Northfield, Minnesota at the Bill Huyck Course for the 2026 Pre-National Meet.
