WAVERLY, IA - Bolstered by a phenomenal second round on the links, the UW-Whitewater women's golf team tied for third at the Wartburg Fall Invitational this weekend. 

The Warhawks shaved 21 strokes off of their round one score for a +8 Sunday -- the second-best round for a team the entire weekend.

Three UWW golfers jumped at least ten spots on the individual leaderboard on day two. Delainey Halverson (Oregon, Wis./Oregon) led the way going one under par on day two for an invite card of +4 to finish sixth in a field of nearly 100 golfers. Elizabeth Vanderhei (Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago) was even Sunday for a +7 overall while Norah Berken (Kaukauna, Wis./Kaukauna) added another top 20 finish at +11 on the weekend. Megan Honn (LaFayette, Ind./Jefferson) (+15) and Natalie Kammer (Fort Atkinson, Wis./Fort Atkinson) (+17) rounded out the top UWW squad. 

A second UW-Whitewater squad finished 14th on the team leaderboard led by Breezy Roman's (Fort Atkinson, Wis./Lakeside Lutheran) +19. She was joined by Payton Schmidt (Jefferson, Wis./Jefferson) (+19), Avery Sallmann (Dousman, Wis./Kettle Moraine) (+23), Olivia Kernen (Appleton, Wis./Hortonville) (+25) and Alexa Reed (Pewaukee, Wis./Arrowhead) (+27).
