Twelve track & field/cross country student-athletes from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater track and field team were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team.
The 2026 Academic All-District teams selected by CSC recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track, field, or course and in the classroom. Eligible student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher, be of at least sophomore status academically and athletically, and athletes must meet varying criteria according to position. Institutions are also limited to six nominations.Â
For cross country, student-athletes must've finished in the top-50 finishers in their 2025 Regional Meet. For track, the individual must be ranked in the top-50 in their region in any event, indoor or outdoor.Â
Earning Academic All-District honors from the men's team:
Caleb Beightol (Belgium, Wis./Cedar Grove-Belgium), a junior in Marketing with a 3.78 GPA,
Sam Vargas (Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead), a sophomore in Human Performance with a 4.00 GPA,
Jack Erickson (Belleville, Wis./Belleville), a sophomore in Finance with a 3.91 GPA,
Dan Anderson (Eau Claire, Wis./McDonell) a senior in Business Analytics with a 3.59 GPA,
Jonah Block (Whitefish Bay, Wis./Whitefish Bay), a senior in accounting with a 3.83 GPA, and
Alex Metko (Brillion, Wis./Brillon), a senior in Finance with a 3.88 GPA.Â
On the women's team:
Danielle Pouska (Algonquin, Ill./Jacobs), a Senior in biology with a 3.99 GPA,
Katie Erb (Winnebago, Ill./Winnebago) a senior in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a 3.96 GPA,
Kiersten Dellar (Waukesha, Wis./Watertown Lutheran Prep), a sophomore in Special Education with a 3.75 GPA,
Emma Henningfeld (East Troy, Wis./East Troy) a junior with a double major Accounting and Finance with a 3.99 GPA,
Lexie Weier (Mineral Point, WI/Mineral Point) a senior in Elementary/Middle Education with a 3.98 GPA, and
Ryleigh Czarnecki (Muskego, Wis./Muskego), a junior in Early Childhood Education with a 3.78 GPA.Â
