Baseball

Holland, Aaron

Position: Aaron Holland – Junior – Catcher – Wheaton, Ill./Wheaton
 

Aaron Holland led the Warhawks at the plate in a 5-0 week for the Warhawks. The lead-off hitter in the lineup, Holland went 10-for-21 (.476) from the dish with three doubles. Holland finished the week with a .619 slugging and .577 on-base percentage. 
 

Kirchner, Franklin

Pitcher: Franklin Kirchner – Pitcher – Elk Grove Village, Ill./Conant
 

Franklin Kirchner didn’t allow a hit or run in two outings for the Warhawks this week. In his first appearance, Kirchner went 5.0 innings of relief against UW-Eau Claire for a win. In his second outing, the freshman pitched 3.1 innings to protect a 3-1 Warhawk lead over UW-Platteville to earn the save. Through the 8.1 innings, Kirchner didn’t allow a single hit, fanning 7 batters, and only walking 3. Kirchner went 1-0 on the week with a save.

Softball

Position: Bella Eggert – Senior – Outfield – Carol Stream, Ill./Glenbard North


Bella Eggert was stellar at the plate in UW-Whitewater’s two wins over the Pointers last week. The senior slapper was 5-for-7 in the batter’s box for an average of .714. She added a stolen base in the first game of the twinbill.
 

Pitcher: Josie Hammen – Junior – Pitcher – Combined Locks, Wis./Kimberly
 

Josie Hammen blanked UW-Stevens Point in the opener of a doubleheader last week. The junior scattered five hits across seven innings of work while striking out four and issuing a single free pass. Hammen now leads the league in complete games (7) and earned run average (0.95) with nine victories in the circle this season.
 

Men's Tennis

Billson, Theo

Singles: Theo Billson – Junior – Lindfield, England/BHASVIC


Theo Billson helped the Warhawks clinch their third-straight WIAC West Championship with a 4-2 win over UW-La Crosse on Friday evening. Billson took the top flight 6-1, 6-1 in the win. The next day, the Warhawks faced No. 1-ranked UChicago. Billson fell in a close match 6(5)-7, 2-6.

Michaels, Carter

Doubles: Theo Billson – Junior – Lindfield, England/BHASVIC & Carter Michaels – Freshman -- Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Eagan


Theo Billson and Carter Michaels helped the Warhawks clinch their third-straight WIAC West Championship with a 4-2 win over UW-La Crosse on Friday evening. The pair took the top doubles match without dropping a game at 6-0. The next day, the Warhawks faced No. 1-ranked UChicago. Billson and Michaels fell 4-6 to the top Maroon pair. 
 

Track & Field

UW-Whitewater Warhawk lol

Men's Track: 4x400 (James Williams, Jack Erickson, Gabe Ubert, Chris Kalies)
 

The Warhawk men’s 4x400 relay team combined for a time of 3:13.48 to win the event at the Phil Esten Challenge last week. The mark registered by James Williams, Jack Erickson, Gabe Ubert, and Chris Kalies is the top time in the WIAC, ranks 10th nationally this season, and is the third-fastest in program history.
 

Fontaine, Connor

Men's Field: Connor Fontaine – Freshman – De Pere, Wis./De Pere
 

Connor Fontaine finished fifth in the discus at the Phil Esten Challenge last week. The freshman posted a mark of 50.52 meters (465-9) – a career best and a top 20 distance in Division III. 
 

UW-Whitewater Warhawk lol

Women's Track: 4x100 (Danielle Pouska, Alyssa Stacy, Kelly Huerta, Cici Stennett)
 

The UW-Whitewater 4x100 squad broke the program record and was the first Division III combination to cross the finish line at the Phil Esten Challenge last week. Danielle Pouska, Alyssa Stacy, Kelly Huerta and Cici Stennett posted a time of 46.26, ranked third nationally this season. 
 

Smith, Cherish

Women's Field: Cherish Smith – Freshman – Beloit, Wis./Turner
 

Cherish Smith finished sixth in the long jump at the Phil Esten Challenge last week. The freshman surpassed her previous career best by nearly six inches with a mark of 5.57 meters (18-3.25).
