MBB 2026 All-Conference Honorees

Madson & Verges Earn First Team Honors; Coach Wichser named Coach of the Year

Warren Named Honorable Mention, Ambrose earns All-Sportsmanship

Collin Madson (Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago) and Isaac Verges (Franklin, Wis./Franklin) were selected the 2026 WIAC All-Conference First Team in a release by the conference office on Wednesday. Richie Warren (Racine, Wis./Park) was named to the honorable mention team. Austin Ambrose (Batavia, Ill./Batavia) was chosen to represent the Warhawks on the All-Sportsmanship Team. Head Coach Jarod Wichser was named WIAC Coach of the Year.

Junior guard Collin Madson (Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago) was a first team selection for the first time in his career. Madson led the Warhawks in scoring with 18.0 points per game, the third best in the WIAC. Madson led the Conference in shooting, making a league-best 45.0% from behind the arc and ranked 5th in field goal percentage at 55.6%. Madson also ranked in the top-10 for rebounding, pulling down 5.4 boards a game.

Senior guard Isaac Verges (Franklin, Wis./Franklin) earned a first team selection. On the season, Verges averaged 10.0 points per game and 4.4 rebounds. He was 6th in the league for field goal percentage, converting on 52.7% of his shots. Verges was also named to the All-Defensive Team, averaging 1.2 steals a game and leading the Warhawks' defense, which ranked third in scoring and second in turnover margin.

Senior forward Richie Warren (Racine, Wis./Park) earned an honorable mention selection for the 2025-26 basketball season. Warren averaged 8.0 points and 5.0 rebounds during the season. Warren was a defensive anchor for UWW, ranking fifth in the conference with 21 blocks on the season. Warren had nine multi-block games throughout the season.  

Head Coach Jarod Wichser was named Coach of the Year in his third season at the helm of the Warhawk program. After being picked to finish 6th in the conference, Coach Wichser led the Warhawks to their first outright WIAC Regular Season Title since 2012. The Warhawks finished the regular season with a 19-6 overall record, 10-4 in conference, both bests under Coach Wichser. 

The Warhawks make their first NCAA Tournament Appearance since 2023, heading to St. Louis, MO to take on Loras. UWW will take on the Duhawks on Friday, March 6th, at 5:05 PM.
