Gymnastics

Specialist: Sofia Spadafora – Sophomore – Windsor, Ontario, Canada/Saint Thomas of Villanova

Sofia Spadafora posted the top score on the vault in UW-Whitewater’s dual win over Hamline Saturday. Spadafora scored a 9.75 on the vault to lead the Warhawks’ to a team score of 48.350 on the event – a top ten mark in program history. UW-Whitewater accumulated the second-highest team total in Warhawk history with a 194.025 in the win.

Multi-Event: Elaine Copeland – Junior – Arlington, Texas/University Prep

Elaine Copeland won a pair of events to lead the Warhawks’ to a phenomenal team score of 194.025 – the second-highest in program history Saturday. Copeland claimed gold with a career high 9.825 on the uneven bars – ranked fourth in the UW-Whitewater record book on the apparatus. She added a second top finish with a 9.775 on the floor exercise. The Warhawks recorded top ten team totals in the program record book on the bars and floor led by Copeland’s fantastic performance.

Billson, Theo

Singles: Singles: Theo Billson — Junior — Linfield, England/BHASVIC

Theo Billson went 2-0 at the Warhawks' top single flights in two duals this weekend. ON Friday, Billson defeated Philipp Wottgen from North Central in straight sets (6-3, 6-4). The next day against Coe, Billson defeated Anthony Schulte (6-4, 3-6, 6-3).

Doubles: Theo Billson — Junior — Linfield, England/BHASVIC & Carter Michaels — Freshman — Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Eagan

Theo Billson and Carter Michaels went 2-0 as a pair over the Warhawks' two duals. Billson & Michaels opened up the dual against North Central with a 6-1 victory at the top doubles flight. The following day against Coe, the pair fended off the Kohawks' top pair to win 7-5 and finish the weekend 2-0.
