Warhawk Tennis Falls to Grinnell

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's tennis team fell to Grinnell College in the final dual match of the Warhawk Invite over the weekend. 

Grinnell College grabbed the doubles point by sweeping the Warhawks doubles pairs. 

Gavin Kelleher (Brooklyn, Minn./Champlin Park) picked up a straight-set win at the 5th singles flight, giving the Warhawks a point. Theo Billson (Lindfield, England/BHASVIC) was able to match it, winning the top singles flight in a tiebreaker round. 

The Pioneers took the last two needed flights to take the match point over the Warhawks. Daniel Moeller picked up the last flight for the Warhawks, winning in straight sets at the 6th singles flight.

The Warhawks return back to Lake Geneva Tennis next Friday to take on Carthage on February 13th at 6 PM.
