The Warhawk men's track and field team competed at the Caged Eagle Invite hosted by UW-La Crosse Friday evening.
The Warhawk distance medley relay team of
Drew Davey (Elkhorn, Wis./Elkhorn),
Chris Kalies (Grafton, Wis./Grafton),
Rhett Reuter (Darlington, Wis./Darlington), and
Dan Anderson (Eau Claire, Wis./McDonell) placed third in the meet, recording a top-15 time in DIvision III with a 10:09.08.
In the 60m, Kayden Baumngart set the 6th best time in Warhawk history with a 6.88 finish in the finals. Baumgart finished 4th overall.
Gabe Ubert (Waukesha, Wis./Waukesha South) won the 400 by just 0.02 seconds. Ubert timed in at 49.92, the fastest time in La Crosse.
The Warhawks had two runners in the top-5 of the 200m dash. Samuel Vargas recorded the second fastest time in Warhawk history with a 21.86 lap. Vergas was just 0.05 seconds off from the top time in the finals.
Chris Kalies (Grafton, Wis./Grafton) placed fourth in the finals, running a 21.97.
In the field events, the Warhawks had a strong showing in the high jump with three in the top-10.
Jer'Von Anderson (Watertown, Wis./Watertown) took second overall by clearing the 2.05m bar.
Daniel Nickel (Marshall, Wis./Marshall) and Ben Button both cleared the 1.90m bar to place in the top-10 as well.
In the long jump,
Lincoln Begin (Greenfield, Wis./Greenfield) took fourth overall with a 6.90m leap on his fifth jump of the night.
Max Wallace (West Allis, Wis./Hale) took fifth in the triple jump with a 13.67m.
