The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's & women's swim & dive teams finished out the WIAC Swim & Dive Championship on Saturday evening.
The men's team finished 4th overall in conference with 488 total points. The women finished 5th overall with 368.5 points.
On the final day of finals,
Caleb Weis (Burlington, Wis./Burlington) started the night with a second-place finish in the 1650 free. Weis timed in at 16:02.65, a personal best for the junior and the second fastest time in Warhawk history.
For the women's 1650,
Nikolina Gallo (Greendale, Wis./Greendale) finished in the top-8 of the contested race. Gallo timed in at a personal best 18:30.34 to finish 7th overall.
Ethan Schmohe (Sullivan, Ill./Sullivan) won the B Finals of the 200 backstroke, timing in at 1:56.49, improving on his prelim time by over a second. On the women's side of the 200 back,
Hannah Wenszell (West Bend, Wis./Wisconsin Virtual) took 8th in the A Final with a 2:13.97 while
Izzy Doczy (Greendale, Wis./Greendale) took second in the B Finals with a 2:15.48.
In the 100m free,
Dom Schlueter (South Elgin, Ill./South Elgin) took second overall, timing in at 46.49 in the finals.
Ethan Bergman (Kenosha, Wis./Bradford) took fifth overall with a 47.07 finish in the finals.
Owen Phillips (Ottawa, Ill./Ottawa Township) took second in the B Finals, timing in at 47.38.
On the women's side,
Hailey Vogel (Rockwell City, Iowa/Fort Dodge) finished 5th overall in the A-Final with a 54.15.
Addi Sanow (Munster, Ind./Munster) finished 3rd in the B-Final with a 55.18-second finish.
Noah Johnson (DeKalb, Ill./DeKalb) competed in the A-Finals of the 200 breast, placing 8th overall with a 2:09.78.
Sheamus Horton (Lago Vista, Tex./Lago Vista) placed second in the B-Final, timing in at 2:09.79, a personal best time for the freshman.
Another personal-best in the 200 fly for
Daniel Keller (Omaha, Neb./Papillion-LaVista), finishing 6th overall in the A-Final with a time of 1:59.89.
Matt Ozog (Bartlett, Ill./South Elgin) won the B-Final of the 200 fly, swimming a season-best 2:01.61. On the women's side,
Paige Malitz (Wausau, Wis./DC Everest) placed first in the B-Final, timing in at 2:21.89.
In the final events of the championship, the Warhawk men took third place in the 400 free relay.

The women's 400 freestyle team also finished 3rd overall with a time of 3:36.23.

Jenna Denton (O'Fallon, Ill./O'Fallon), and
Hailey Vogel (Rockwell City, Iowa/Fort Dodge) set the fourth fastest time in Warhawk history in the final race of the four-day championship.
Saturday Prelims Recap
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater began the last day of competition in the WIAC Championships on Saturday in Brown Deer.
The prelims on Saturday were the 200 back, 100 free, 200 breast, and 200 fly on the final day of competition.
Ethan Schmohe (Sullivan, Ill./Sullivan) led the Warhawks in the 200 back, placing 11th overall to be the third seed in the B Finals. Schmohe finished with a season best 1:57.65 in the event.
In the women's 200 back,
Hannah Wenszell (West Bend, Wis./Wisconsin Virtual) reached the A Finals finishing with a season best 2:15.67.
In the men's 100 free, UW-Whitewater are sending two into the finals.
Dom Schlueter (South Elgin, Ill./South Elgin) and
Ethan Bergman (Kenosha, Wis./Bradford) had the second and third fastest times in the preliminaries. Schlueter had a 46.16 and Bergman had a 46.19, both season bests for the pair.
Owen Phillips (Ottawa, Ill./Ottawa Township) also qualified for the B Finals, taking the second seed in that event with a season best 47.48.
On the women's side of the 100 free,
Hailey Vogel (Rockwell City, Iowa/Fort Dodge) qualified for the A Finals with a personal best 53.95.
Addi Sanow (Munster, Ind./Munster) qualified for the B Final with a season best 54.48. Sanow is the second seed going into the B Final.
In the 200 breast,
Noah Johnson (DeKalb, Ill./DeKalb) qualified for the A Finals, finishing 8th overall in the prelims. Johnson swam a season-best 2:07.73 in the prelims.
Daniel Keller (Omaha, Neb./Papillion-LaVista) placed 5th overall in the 200 fly prelims, swimming a personal best 1:59.45. Keller will swim in the A Finals later tonight.
In the 3M diving prelims,
Brookelyn Klepfer (Lake in the Hills, Ill./Huntley) led the Warhawks with a 339.60 finish. Klepfer finished 9th overall in the prelims.
The Warhawks will finish out the WIAC Championship tonight with the Saturday night finals.
Friday Final Recap
The UW-Whitewater men's and women's swimming and diving team wrapped up the third day of the WIAC Championships Friday in Brown Deer.
Friday's finals session was highlighted by 12 top eight finishes for the Warhawks.
Hailey Vogel (Rockwell City, Iowa/Fort Dodge) led the way with the highest individual finish on the day for UWW. The freshman was clocked in 1:05.77 to claim silver in the 100 breaststroke. That mark is ranked fifth in the program record book.
Amelia Davey (Middleton, Wis./Middleton) was 15th in the event.
Dom Schlueter (South Elgin, Ill./South Elgin) and
Ethan Schmohe (Sullivan, Ill./Sullivan) headlined the Warhawk men with a pair of bronze finishes. Schlueter came into the wall third in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:41.46.
Caleb Weis (Burlington, Wis./Burlington) secured eighth in the event with a clocking of 1:46.01. Schmohe added a third place time of 51.67 in the 100 backstroke.
Owen Phillips (Ottawa, Ill./Ottawa Township), Matthew Ozog and Matt Bricco finished 12th, 14th and 15th respectively.
Jenna Denton (O'Fallon, Ill./O'Fallon) came into the wall fourth in the 100 backstroke. She recorded a time of 59.48 while
Izzy Doczy (Greendale, Wis./Greendale) and
Paige Malitz (Wausau, Wis./DC Everest) added 10th and 16th place finishes in the event.
Schmohe picked up another top eight finish along with teammate
Ethan Bergman (Kenosha, Wis./Bradford) in the 100 butterfly. Schmohe was clocked in 51.44 for sixth while Bergman's 51.55 was good for eighth. Ozog (10th) and
Matt Sipin (Round Lake, Ill./Grayslake Central) (16th) along with Denton (11th), Malitz (14th) represented UWW in the 'B' finals of the event.
Daniel Keller (Omaha, Neb./Papillion-LaVista) saw the podium after putting up a 4:14.79 in the 400 individual medley relay to claim seventh.

Hannah Gault (Moline, Ill./Moline) in 13th and

In the women's 200 freestyle,
Carly Pierzchalski (Crystal Lake, Ill./Harry D Jacobs) recorded a time of 1:59.29 to finish eighth. In the consolation finals,
Addi Sanow (Munster, Ind./Munster) posted a ninth-place time with
Nikolina Gallo (Greendale, Wis./Greendale) right behind in 10th and
Grace Linstroth (Port Washington, Wis./Port Washington) finished 13th.
Denton (11th), Malitz (14th) and
Lauryn Moneta (Sugar Grove, Ill./Kaneland) (16th) represented UWW in the 100 butterfly while

Brenden Spaulding (Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead) (15th) and

Drew Schmitz (Appleton, Wis./North) jumped three spots from the preliminaries to the finals in the one meter dive Friday. The junior registered a personal best total of 389.05 to finish fourth off of the one meter board. That mark is ranked sixth in program history.
Day three ended with the 200 freestyle relays. The Warhawk women recorded the fifth-fastest relay time in UWW history - 1:38.21 - to finish third. Linstroth led off the squad that included Sanow, Denton and Vogel. The men were fourth with a clocking of 1:24.48 - ranked seventh in the UW-Whitewater record book. Schlueter anchored the combination that started with Bergman, Schmohe and Phillips.
The 2026 WIAC Championships will conclude with two session Saturday - a more prelims session followed by a finals session in the evening.
Friday Prelims Recap
Seven Warhawks advanced to the 'A' finals on day three of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships held in Brown Deer Friday.
Ethan Schmohe (Sullivan, Ill./Sullivan) set the tone in the 100 butterfly with the fourth-fastest time in program history - 51.12 - to qualify fifth for the finals to be raced later this evening.
Ethan Bergman (Kenosha, Wis./Bradford) was clocked in 51.44 to qualify sixth.
Matt Sipin (Round Lake, Ill./Grayslake Central) and Matthew Ozog will both race in the 'B' finals tonight. A three-Warhawk contingent will race in the 'B' finals on the women's side including

Thursday Finals Recap
The UW-Whitewater men's and women's swimming and diving team was back in the pool for a third session at the WIAC Championships Thursday evening. The 2026 championship meet is being held at the Schroeder Aquatic Center in Brown Deer.
Caleb Weis (Burlington, Wis./Burlington) led off the evening session with a fourth place finish in the 500 freestyle - coming into the wall in 4:42.15. On the women's side
Nikolina Gallo (Greendale, Wis./Greendale) claimed tenth with a time of 5:21.11 after shaving over two seconds off her prelims time.
Three Warhawk men represented UW-Whitewater in the 200 individual medley.
Noah Johnson (DeKalb, Ill./DeKalb) (1:56.69),
Owen Phillips (Ottawa, Ill./Ottawa Township) (1:57.48) and
Daniel Keller (Omaha, Neb./Papillion-LaVista) (1:58.82) finished in 9th, 12th and 14th respectively. Johnson's clocking is the fifth-fastest in UWW history.
The fastest event of the championships saw a pair of UWW men touch at the same time - 21.07, the fifth-fastest for the Warhawks.

Dom Schlueter (South Elgin, Ill./South Elgin) shared fourth with matching times, just missing a top three finish by five-hundredths.
Hailey Vogel (Rockwell City, Iowa/Fort Dodge) paced the UW-Whitewater women with a time of 24.99, good for 11th Thursday.
Grace Linstroth (Port Washington, Wis./Port Washington) and
Jenna Denton (O'Fallon, Ill./O'Fallon) finished back-to-back in 14th and 15th with times of 25.03 and 25.08 respectively.
Brookelyn Kelpfer posted a total of 348.60 off the one-meter board to finish eleventh in the competition.
In the final event of the evening Thursday, UW-Whitewater's 400 medley relay squads took to the pool. Phillips led off for Johnson and Matthew Ozog while
Ethan Schmohe (Sullivan, Ill./Sullivan) anchored the crew for a time of 3:30.39.
Izzy Doczy (Greendale, Wis./Greendale) was the lead for the women followed by Vogel, Denton and anchor
Addi Sanow (Munster, Ind./Munster) for a top-ten clocking in the UWW record book of 4:02.25. Both squads finished fourth.
After two days of competition, the Warhawk men are in fourth with a total of 169. The women hold fifth with 112.
Thursday Prelims Recap
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's and women's swim & dive teams continued competition in the WIAC championships on Thursday, February 19th.
The 500 yard freestyle, 200 individual medley, & 50 freestyle preliminaries took place in the swimming events, while the women's 1m dive began their 11 dives in Thursday morning's session.
In the 500 free,
Caleb Weis (Burlington, Wis./Burlington) placed second overall in the prelim times with a time of 4:40.08. Weis's time was a personal best for the junior.
On the women's side,
Nikolina Gallo (Greendale, Wis./Greendale) placed 11th overall to earn the 3-seed in the B Finals. Gallo had a season-best 5:23.28 in the 500 free.
For the 200 IM,
Noah Johnson (DeKalb, Ill./DeKalb) led the Warhawk men with a season-best 1:57.43 to take 10th overall & the second seed in the B Final.
The final prelim for Thursday morning was one of the quickest, with the 50 freestyle.
Ethan Bergman (Kenosha, Wis./Bradford) &
Dom Schlueter (South Elgin, Ill./South Elgin) both advanced to the A Finals for the Warhawks. Bergman had a personal best 20.98, the fourth fastest time in Warhawk history, to take the third seed. Schlueter touched at 21.14, a season best, ranking fifth overall.
In the women's 50 free,
Hailey Vogel (Rockwell City, Iowa/Fort Dodge),
Jenna Denton (O'Fallon, Ill./O'Fallon), &
Grace Linstroth (Port Washington, Wis./Port Washington) all reached the B Finals on Thursday night. Vogel was 11th with a 24.77, Denton was 12th with a 24.85, & Linstroth was 13th with a 24.86. All three marks were season bests for the Warhawks.
To round out the Thursday prelims, Brooklyn Klepfer & Jersey Klepfer competed in the women's 1m dives. Both qualified for the consolation finals.
The Warhawks will return to the pool at 6:30 pm for the Thursday Finals.
Wednesday Recap
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's and women's swim & dive teams began competition at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) championships held in Brown Deer, WI.
To begin the day,
Drew Schmitz (Appleton, Wis./North) competed in the men's 3m dive. With the first 11 dives, Schmitz placed 9th overall, tallying 366.60 total points.
In the evening relay finals, the men's 800 freestyle relay highlighted the day with a second-place finish. The squad of

Noah Johnson (DeKalb, Ill./DeKalb). The men's 200 medley placed fourth with a time of 1:32.65.
The women's 200 medley of

Grace Linstroth (Port Washington, Wis./Port Washington) also placed fourth overall with a time of 1:47.48. Linstroth joined
Nikolina Gallo (Greendale, Wis./Greendale),
Addi Sanow (Munster, Ind./Munster), and
Carly Pierzchalski (Crystal Lake, Ill./Harry D Jacobs) in the women's 800 freestyle relay, placing fifth in the meet with a time of 8:06.92.
After day one of competition, the women are tied for fourth with 58 points, and the men fifth with 73 points.
Competition in the WIAC Swimming & Diving Championships will resume on Thursday, February 19th, with the prelims at 10:00 a.m. and the finals at 6:30 p.m.
