Basketball

Madson, Collin

Men’s Basketball – Collin Madson – Junior – Guard – Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago

Collin Madson averaged 25.5 points on 66.7% shooting from the field in the Warhawks' back-to-back wins last week. Madson scored 27 against UW-Platteville, shooting 10-for-12 from the floor in an efficient outing. The following game against UW-Eau Claire, the junior guard had a 24-point, 10 rebounds double-double. Madson scored seven of the Warhawks’ last 10 points to pull away from the Blugolds late.

Gillis, Mia

Women’s Basketball: Mia Gillis – Junior – Forward – Mundelein, Ill./Carmel Catholic

Mia Gillis led the Warhawks to a pair of big wins last week. In a top 25 win at UW-Platteville, Gillis tallied a double-double in over 39 minutes of action. She shot 50% for 14 points, adding 10 rebounds, 4 blocks and a pair of steals in the contest. In the Warhawks’ win over UW-Eau Claire Saturday, Gillis scored 11 and hauled in 8 rebounds. For the week, the junior averaged 12.5 and 9 rebounds in over 30 minutes per game.

Gymnastics

Specialist: Juliette Rider – Freshman – San Antonio, Texas/Acellus

Juliette Rider anchored the Warhawks’ floor with a phenomenal 9.8 to help UWW to a dual win over UW-Stout Saturday. Her 9.8 was good for gold as the Warhawks registered the eleventh-best floor score in program history. UWW totaled 192.925 in the win – the eighth-best team total in the Warhawk record book.

Multi-Event: Paige Magel – Junior – Cary, Ill./Prairie Ridge

Paige Magel posted the best all-around total in Division III so far this season to lead the Warhawks to a dual win over UW-Stout Saturday. Her 38.800 in the all-around is tied for the third highest in program history. Magel scored a 9.775 – the second-highest bars score in DIII this season – to win the event. She added two more second place finishes with a 9.7 on the balance beam and a 9.75 on the floor. On the vault, Magel finished fourth with a 9.575. Magel’s phenomenal all-around led UW-Whitewater to the eighth-best team total in program history – 192.925.

Men's Tennis

Moeller, Daniel

Singles: Keith Moeller – Sophomore – Dallas, Texas/DKM-I University Prep

Keith Moeller was the decisive point for the Warhawks in their 4-3 win over Carthage on Friday, February 13th. Moeller won his first set 6-3, but fell in the second 4-6 to force a third full set. Moeller found himself down early in the tiebreaker, but stormed back, fending off match point on four separate occasions. The sophomore clinched the match for the Warhawks, winning three straight rallies to close out the tiebreaker with a 9-7 victory.

Kelleher, Gavin
Morgan, Charles

Doubles: Gavin Kelleher – Sophomore – Brooklyn, Minn./Champlin Park & Charles Morgan – Sophomore – Naperville, Ill./Central

Gavin Kelleher and Charles Morgan went 2-0 as a pair for the Warhawks over the weekend. On Friday, February 13th, the pair was able to pick up a tiebreaker win over Carthage College to pick up the doubles point for the Warhawks. On Sunday, February 15th, Kelleher and Morgan picked up a 6-2 win over NCAA Division I Northern Illinois's second doubles pair

Track & Field

Anderson, Dan

Men's Track: Dan Anderson – Senior – Distance – Eau Claire, Wis./McDonell

Dan Anderson finished second in a high-powered field of more than 120 runners in the 5,000 at the Midwest Elite Invitational over the weekend. Anderson crossed the line in 14:22.77 – ranked 13th on the Division III Indoor Performance List this season.

Men's Field: Aiden Neduzak – Junior – Jumps – Nekoosa, Wis./Nekoosa

§ Aiden Neduzak won the men’s triple jump at the Midwest Elite Invitational last weekend. His leap of 13.96 meters (45-9.75) bested the competition by over a foot.

Beightol, Sophie

Women's Track: Sophie Beightol – Freshman – Sprints – Belgium, Wis./Cedar Grove-Belgium

Sophie Beightol competed in a pair of events at the Midwest Elite Invitational over the weekend. The freshman finished sixth in the 400 with a career-best time of 59.55. Beightol combined with her teammates in the 4x400 relay were clocked in 4:07.42 to finish sixth.

Smith, Cherish

Women's Field: Cherish Smith – Freshman – Jumps – Beloit, Wis./Turner

§ Cherish Smith registered a career-best mark of 5.22 meters (17-1.5) to finish 14th in the 38-athlete field of the long jump at the Midwest Elite Invitational Saturday.
