The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's tennis team opened up its Fall Warhawk Invite on Friday, September 5th. The doubles flights fully finished on Saturday, with a few single matches set to take place tomorrow. 

The Warhawks had two teams in the top two flights reach the consolation flights, but both fell in the 5th place match. Theo Billson (Lindfield, England/BHASVIC) & Daniel Moeller lost their opening match at doubles one, but bounced back with a 6-3 consolation match. 

At the second doubles flight, Carter Michaels (Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Eagan) & Parker Sprague (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Kennedy) reached the consolation match after a 6-2 win in the battle-back round. The pair had a close 3-6 match with the eventual consolation champions from Olivet. 

The third doubles flight was all UW-Whitewater, with both doubles squads reaching the championship match. Chase Lindwall (Cottage Grove, Wis./Monona Grove) & Lleyton Davidson (Allen, Tex./Allen) opened their day with a 6-3 and 6-2 victory, while on the other side of the bracket Julius Jonsson (Kungsbacka, Sweden/Aranäsgymnasiet) & Gavin Kelleher (Brooklyn, Minn./Champlin Park) won their first two matches 6-2 then 6-3. 

In the championship match, the pair of Lindwall/Davidson came out on top in a close 6-4 match. 

The men's tennis Warhawk Fall Invite will continue tomorrow with the semifinal & championship rounds of the singles brackets. The Warhawks are well represented, with 6 individuals making it to their respective semifinal matches.
