Abi Anderson (Janesville, Wis./Craig) claimed gold as the UW-Whitewater women's cross country team finished third at an invitational hosted by North Central College Friday evening.
Anderson registered a top 20 time in program history, crossing the line in 22:58.70 to win the race, 12 seconds ahead of the next runner.
Miranda McNally (Downers Grove, Ill./North) finished ninth with a time of 24:04.70 and
Kaitlyn Burke (Fort Atkinson, Wis./) rounded out the Warhawks in the top 10, crossing the finish line less than two seconds later.
Nicole Brown (Grayslake, Ill./) (24:53.40) and
Brielle Scoles (Kewaskum, Wis./) (24:59.50) finished back-to-back in 17th and 18th respectively.
Addi Kowalewski (Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead) was 21st with a clocking of 25:01.90 followed by a time of 25:10.60 from
Jocelyn Ramirez (Jefferson, Wis./) in 22nd.
Madison Wnek (Batavia, Ill./) secured a top 25 spot with a time of 25:13.90.
