Warhawk Men Finish Second at NCC Invite

Naperville, Ill. -- The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's cross country team finished second at the North Central College Invite Friday evening. 

Brandon Massman (Belvidere, Ill./North) led the way with a personal best time of 25:28.40 to finish eighth in a field of 100 runners. Nick Wendl (Milwaukee, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) and Matthew Andreano (Algonquin, Ill./Jacobs) finished in 14th and 15th - Wendl with a time of 25:52.60 and Andreano less that two seconds back. Andrew Beyer (Algonquin, Ill./Jacobs) rounded out the top 20 in the individual results for UWW with a time of 26:03.40. 

Drew Davey (Elkhorn, Wis./) registered a time of 26:18.50 for 23rd while Ben Piontek (Green Bay, Wis./Preble) crossed the line in 26:32.40 for 27th. 

UW-Whitewater was also represented on the course by Ryan Van Dam (Glen Ellen, Ill./Glenbard East) (26:47.30), Avery Erickson (Barrington, Ill./) (26:49.00), Braylen Rennhack (Hartford, Wis./) (26:55.20), Kody Wassman (Ormsby, Minn./Mountain Lake) (26:56.50), Felipe Wickler (Batavia, Ill./) (27:01.10), Adrian Ahuatl (St. Charles, Ill./East) (27:08.70), Alex Anschutz (Muskego, Wis./) (27:12.60), Jordan Loferski (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Hamilton) (27:39.70) and James Belus (Oconomowoc, Wis./) (27:55.20).
