Naperville, Ill. -- The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's cross country team finished second at the North Central College Invite Friday evening.
Brandon Massman (Belvidere, Ill./North) led the way with a personal best time of 25:28.40 to finish eighth in a field of 100 runners.
Nick Wendl (Milwaukee, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) and
Matthew Andreano (Algonquin, Ill./Jacobs) finished in 14th and 15th - Wendl with a time of 25:52.60 and Andreano less that two seconds back.
Andrew Beyer (Algonquin, Ill./Jacobs) rounded out the top 20 in the individual results for UWW with a time of 26:03.40.
Drew Davey (Elkhorn, Wis./) registered a time of 26:18.50 for 23rd while
Ben Piontek (Green Bay, Wis./Preble) crossed the line in 26:32.40 for 27th.
