The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's tennis team continued competition at the ITA Midwest Regional & the Midwest Open in St. Peter, Minnesota.

Theo Billson (Lindfield, England/BHASVIC) extended his day with two more wins in the ITA singles bracket. The junior is now in the quarterfinal round, where he will face the fifth-seeded Tyler Haddorf from Gustavus Adolphus. 

On the doubles side, Billson & Charles Morgan (Naperville, Ill./Central) opened their day with a win over a duo from St. Olaf, but fell in the following match to Carthage.

In the Midwest Open the Warhawks had success in the singles & doubles brackets. In the singles, Carter Michaels (Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Eagan) advanced to the quarterfinal round, surviving a third-set tie-breaker & then taking his next match in straight sets. Michaels fell in the quarterfinal match to Yamazaki from Milwaukee School of Engineering.

On the doubles side of the Midwest Open, the Warhawks have a pair into the semifinal round, playing for a shot at the championship tomorrow. Lleyton Davidson (Allen, Tex./Allen) & Gavin Kelleher (Brooklyn, Minn./Champlin Park) worked through their bracket, winning two more matches on Saturday. They will take on a duo from Macalester in their semifinal match tomorrow at 2:20 pm.
