The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's tennis team continued the ITA Midwest Tournament & Gustie Invite in St. Peters, Minnesota.

In the singles ITA bracket, Gracie Ha (Palatine, Ill./Fremd) and Kaitlyn Remke (Johnsburg, Ill./Marian Central) played in the morning matches to try and secure a spot in the quarterfinal matches. Ha was matched up with Noor Omar from Gustavus Adolphus and Remke had a tough match against the second-seed in the tournament from Bethel, Lauryn Douglas. Both were unable to take their matches to advance in the ITA Tournament.

The doubles bracket for the ITA tournament began on Saturday, playing through three rounds on the first day. The Warhawks are sending one team through to the quarterfinal match, with Gracie Ha (Palatine, Ill./Fremd) & Abigail Weaver (Wakarusa, Ind./Mishawaka Marian) going 3-0 on the day. 

Ha & Weaver opened the day only dropping three games in the first two rounds. In the third round, the pair got revenge for Ha, defeating Yakimova/Omar with an 8-3 win to push them ahead to the quarters.

The pair, seeded third in the tournament, will face Smith/Brakhage from host Gustavus Adolphus on Sunday, September 21st for their spot in the semifinals. 

On the doubles side of the Gustie Invite, the Warhawks topped the doubles draw. Abigail McIsaac (Fairview Heights, Ill./Belleville East) & Chloe Knutson (Deforest, Wis./Deforest) went 4-0 in their bracket to take the top spot. 

McIsaac and Knutson opened their day against Sugden/Schmidt from Hamline, winning that match 6-3. They followed it up with a 6-4 victory to meet conference-opponent Brinkman/Perkins from UW-La Crosse in the semi-final. A 6-3 victory over the Eagles followed by a 6-4 championship match, gave the pair the gold.
