Women's Soccer

Offensive: Jasmine Wilson – Sophomore – Sussex, Wis./Sussex-Hamilton

Jasmine Wilson scored the game-winning goal in the Warhawks' 1-0 win over Bethel in their season opener on Monday, September 1st. The sophomore took a one-timer shot off a cross in the 72nd to break the stalemate. Wilson kept up the offensive pressure with three total shots on goal, which led to the Warhawks outshooting the Royals 10-5.

Defensive – Anna Gunderson – Junior – Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago

Gunderson played the full 90 minutes on the defensive end in the Warhawks' season opener against Bethel on Monday, September 1st. Gunderson and the defense shut out the Royals on the way to the 1-0 victory. The junior helped stop Bethel's offense, only allowing 5 shots on goal and not giving the Royals a single corner kick the whole game.

Women's Tennis

Weaver, Abigail

Singles: Abby Weaver – Sophomore – Wakarusa, Ind./Mishawake Marian

Abby Weaver started the 2025 season off strong. The sophomore helped the Warhawks sweep their opening conference dual match and won her individual bracket in the Warhawk Fall Invite. In the conference match against UW-Oshkosh, took the second singles flight 6-0, 6-3. At the Warhawk Fall Invite, Weaver opened the day strong with a 6-0, 6-1 victory in her first match. In the semifinal, the sophomore only dropped three games in another straight set victory. Weaver took the gold after a close championship match. She took the first set 7-5 before cruising to a 6-1 to stay undefeated on the weekend.

Asfeld, Molly
Lee, Crystina

Doubles: Molly Asfeld – Senior – Waukesha, Wis./West & Crystina Lee – Sophomore – Downers Grove, Ill./Timothy Christian

Molly Asfeld and Crystina Lee went 3-1 as a pair over UWW Tennis's opening weekend. In the first conference dual match of the season, Asfeld and Lee were the first doubles victory, winning the second doubles flight 6-2. At the Warhawk Fall Invite the next day, the pair won both of their first two matches with 6-3. In the championship match, they fell to a conference opponent from UW-La Crosse in a close 4-6 match to finish second in the bracket.

Volleyball

Krzus, Aubrie

Setter: Aubrie Krzus – Junior – Setter – Wheaton, Ill./Warrenville South

Aubrie Krzus led UW-Whitewater to a 3-0 week on the court to open the 2025 campaign. In the team’s opener against No. 21 Christopher Newport, Krzus tallied 33 assists and added three aces to lead UWW to the sweep. She followed with 45 assists against Coast Guard and 28 in a win over Catholic. The junior setter dished out 10.60 assists per set adding 1.30 kills per set and a total of five aces across three matches. Krzus was named the Captains Classic MVP for her performance at the invitational.

Dix, Abbie

Offense: Abbie Dix – Junior – Middle Hitter – Brodhead, Wis./Brodhead

Abbie Dix helped UW-Whitewater open the season with three consecutive wins at the Captains Classic hosted by Christopher Newport. Dix tallied double figure kills in all three matches of the invitational, hitting over .340 in each match. For the week, she registered 35 kills, hitting .360, while averaging 3.50 kills per set. She added eight blocks on the week to earn All-Tournament Team honors.

Lawton, Natalie

Defense: Natalie Lawton – Freshman – Defensive Specialist – Elmhurst, Ill./IC Catholic Prep

Natalie Lawton earned All-Tournament Team honors in her first collegiate invitational over the weekend. Lawton played all three matches at the Captains Classic. In the Warhawks’ season opener against No. 21 Christopher Newport, Lawton registered 17 digs. She followed with back-to-back 13-dig matches against Coast Guard and Catholic. For the week, Lawton averaged 4.30 digs per set as UWW went 3-0.
