UWW Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week (Nov. 3)

Football

Brooks, Jacques

Offensive: Jacques Brooks – Freshman – Wide Receiver – Franklin, Wis./Franklin

Jacques Brooks tallied a career-high 102 yards receiving in the Warhawks’ game at UW-River Falls Saturday. Brooks hauled in five catches including a career-long 31-yarder in the contest.

Tackett, Dylan

Special Teams: Dylan Tackett – Freshman – Kicker/Punter – Mentor, Ohio/Mentor

Dylan Tackett posted career-bests in three categories Saturday at UW-River Falls with seven punts including a 57-yarder and three that pinned the Falcons inside their own 20. Tackett averaged 41.1 yards per punt with two huge boots that went for 50+. He also took on the kickoff duties averaging 59.7 yards on three kickoffs with one touchback in the game.

Men's Soccer

Glancey, Aidan

Offensive: Aidan Glancey – Junior – Forward – Milwaukee, Wis./Whitnall

Aidan Glancey led the Warhawks’ attack during their title-clinching win over UW-Platteville Friday night. Glancey played the entire game as a forward, putting pressure on goal with one shot. He helped the UWW offense earn eight corner kick opportunities which led to two UW-Whitewater goals.

Healy, Zeke

Defensive: Zeke Healy – Senior – Defender – Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago

Zeke Healy played the entire game against UW-Platteville to help the Warhawks clinch a share of the regular season WIAC title. Healy anchored the Warhawk defense that only allowed four shots on goal, shutting out the Pioneers in the second half in the comeback victory.

Women's Soccer

Curtis, Summer

Offensive: Summer Curtis – Senior – Forward – Cary, Ill./Cary Grove
 

Summer Curtis played 54 minutes in the Warhawks regular season finale against UW-La Crosse. Curtis helped put pressure on the Eagles defense with multiple attacks from the forward position.
 

Gunderson, Anna

Defensive: Anna Gunderson – Junior – Defender – Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago
 

Anna Gunderson played nearly the whole game in the Warhawks' regular season finale against UW-La Crosse. The junior tallied 86 total minutes on the field, defending against the Eagles' potent offense. 
 

Swim & Dive

Bergman, Ethan

Men's Swim: Ethan Bergman – Senior – Kenosha, Wis./Bradford

Ethan Bergman registered a pair of season-best times to win the 200 free and 100 free at UW-Oshkosh Saturday. Bergman was clocked in 1:49.81 in the 200 and 48.46 in the 100 – marks that rank fifth and sixth in the WIAC respectively this season. Bergman was also on both of the Warhawks’ winning relay squads with a 23.48 split on the fly leg of the 200 medley and an anchor split of 21.61 in the free relay.

Denton, Jenna

Women's Swim: Jenna Denton – Sophomore – O’Fallon, Ill./O’Fallon

Jenna Denton won a pair of individual races and two gold relay squads at UW-Oshkosh Saturday. Denton posted the top time in the conference this season in the 100 backstroke – 1:00.62. She also won the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:01.28. In the relays, Denton registered a split time of 26.83 in the fly leg of the 200 medley and anchored the freestyle relay with a split time of 24.44.

Volleyball

Krzus, Aubrie

Setter: Aubrie Krzus – Junior – Setter – Wheaton, Ill./Warrenville South

Aubrie Krzus bolstered the Warhawks’ 2-1 week on the court last week. In a five-set loss to No. 3 UW-Oshkosh, Krzus posted 43 assists and led UWW with three aces. She added a week-high seven kills, nine digs and four blocks in the contest. Krzus wrapped up the week with 34 assists in a sweep of Carroll. For the week, Krzus averaged 9.33 assists, 1.67 kills, 0.89 blocks and 1.89 digs per set.

Dix, Abbie

Offense/Defense: Abbie Dix – Junior – Middle Hitter – Brodhead, Wis./Brodhead

Abbie Dix helped lead UW-Whitewater to a 2-1 record on the court last week. In a five-setter against No. 3 UW-Oshkosh, Dix posted 10 kills and added 7 blocks. She capped the week with 10 kills and 3 blocks in a sweep against Carroll. For the week, Dix averaged 2.56 kills and 1.33 blocks per set.

Wrestling

DeFilippo, Logan

Wrestling: Logan DeFilippo – Freshman – 165 Pounds – Burlington, Wis./Wilmot

Logan DeFilippo won the Pointer Open in his first collegiate competition on Saturday. The freshman went 4-0 with a pair of technical falls and a major decision to win the 165-pound bracket.
