Mequon, Wis. -- The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater was represented by 24 Warhawk wrestlers at the CUW Open Saturday. 

As a team, UWW registered 27 extra points victories including 10 major decisions, 6 technical falls and 11 falls. Callen Kirchner (Hoffman Estates, Ill./Schaumburg) was the pin leader Saturday. Wrestling at 165 pounds, the freshman went 3-2 with three falls - all in less than 1:30. Kirchner's first two pins were timed in 1:26 while his third was the fastest of the day for the Warhawks, 1:04. Justin Fortugno (Armonk, N.Y./Byram Hills) tallied the most extra point victories. The senior went 4-1 at 141 pounds with a fall and three major decisions. 

Many of the brackets were not completed Saturday including a number of place bouts.
