Basketball

Madson, Collin

Men’s Basketball – Collin Madson – Junior – Guard – Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago

Collin Madson was named to the Lopata Classic All-Tournament Team after leading the Warhawks in both games in St. Louis over the weekend. Against St. Thomas (TX), Madson scored a game-high 24 points with 7 rebounds. He capped the week with 11 points and 3 steals in just 12 minutes of action in UWW’s lop-sided win over Eureka. Madson averaged 17.5 points on 76% (10-13) shooting from the field across the two-game span.

Gillis, Mia

Women’s Basketball: Mia Gillis – Junior – Forward – Mundelein, Ill./Carmel Catholic

Mia Gillis led the No. 24 Warhawks to a pair of wins in the Champions Classic including a win over No. 13 Illinois Wesleyan last weekend. Gillis opened the tournament with 14 points, 8 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 blocks in UWW’s 20-point win over Millikin. Against IWU, Gillis posted 22 points adding 6 boards to help UW-Whitewater snap Illinois Wesleyan’s 19-game regular season home win streak. Averaging 18 points and 7 rebounds in nearly 32 minutes per game at the tournament, Gillis was named the Champions Classic MVP.

Football

Gallagher, Ethan

Defensive: Ethan Gallagher – Senior – Linebacker – Homer Glen, Ill./Lockport Township

Ethan Gallagher bolstered the Warhawk defense in UW-Whitewater’s win over UW-Oshkosh Saturday. The UWW defense held the Titans to just 69 yards rushing and 163 yards of total offense. Individually, Gallagher led UW-Whitewater with 10 tackles including a tackle for a loss adding a pass breakup in the contest.

Swim & Dive

Schlueter, Dom

Men's Swim: Dom Schlueter – Senior – South Elgin, Ill./South Elgin

Dom Schlueter paced the Warhawks in a dual against UW-Stevens Point Saturday with two individual golds. The senior registered a season-best time of 1:46.17 to win the 200 freestyle adding a gold in the 100 with a time of 47.45. Schlueter was also a member of both second-place relays. The Warhawks were out-touched by less than three-tenths in both the medley and free relays.

Gallo, Nikolina

Women's Swim: Nikolina Gallo – Sophomore – Greendale, Wis./Greendale

Nikolina Gallo led the Warhawk women to a dual win over UW-Stevens Point for the first time since 2017. The sophomore was the top scorer for UW-Whitewater with two individual event wins and a second-place finish. Gallo won the 500 free and posted a lifetime best in the 200 individual medley to win the race. In the 1000 free, Gallo finished second, just behind one of her teammates.

Santiago, Olivia

Women's Dive: Olivia Santiago – Freshman – Auburn, Cal./Placer

Olivia Santiago helped the Warhawks defeat UW-Stevens Point for the first time in over eight years. Santiago won the three-meter with 191.55 points. The freshman was the runner-up in the one-meter competition, just 0.37 points off the lead

Wrestling

Peet, Brayden

Wrestling: Dominik Mallinder – Senior – 149 Pounds – Roselle, Ill./Lake Park

Dominik Mallinder, ranked fifth nationally at 149 pounds, picked up a pair of wins for the Warhawks last week. Against UW-Stevens Point, Mallinder defeated Riese Thornberry by 22-6 technical fall. He capped the week with a 7-3 decision of No. 10 Tyler Staff of North Central.
