Cross Country

Van Dam, Ryan

Men’s Cross Country: Ryan Van Dam – Sophomore – Glen Ellen, Ill./Glenbard East
 

Ryan Van Dam helped the Warhawks to a second-place finish at the UW-Oshkosh Open on Friday. Van Dam was the top UWW finisher, crossing the line eighth with a time of 26:07. 
 

McNally, Miranda

Women’s Cross Country: Miranda McNally – Senior – Downers Grove, Ill./North
 

Miranda McNally led UW-Whitewater to a first-place finish at the UW-Oshkosh Open on Friday. McNally bolstered the Warhawks with a time of 24:10 to finish fourth overall.
 

Football

Haggerty, Blake

Offensive: Blake Haggerty – Junior – Wide Receiver – Castle Rock, Colo./Castle View
 

Blake Haggerty had a monster fourth quarter to lead UW-Whitewater to a 29-19 win over UW-Platteville in the 32nd edition of the George Chryst Memorial Bowl Saturday. Haggerty hauled in a pair of touchdown catches and caught a pass for a successful two-point conversion – all in the fourth quarter. His first touchdown reception and subsequent two-point conversion reclaimed the lead for the Warhawks, 22-19. His second gave UWW a 10-point cushion and led to the final. For the game, he registered 75 yards on five receptions, earning Offensive Player of the Game honors. 
 

Ramirez, Efrein

Defensive: Efrein Ramirez – Sophomore – Defensive Back – Minooka, Ill./Minooka
 

Efrein Ramirez was selected as the UW-Whitewater Defensive Player of the Game in the Warhawks 29-19 win over UW-Platteville Saturday. The sophomore posted 11 tackles adding an interception and a pass breakup. Late in the fourth quarter, Ramirez intercepted a Pioneer pass near midfield to give UWW the ball back with just five minutes left, all but sealing the win. The Warhawk defense held the Pioneers to just 75 yards rushing in the game.
 

Men's Soccer

Chrisman, Tyler

Offensive: Tyler Chrisman – Freshman – Midfielder – Lemont, Ill./Lemont Township
 

Tyler Chrisman helped lead the Warhawk midfield to a 2-0-1 week on the pitch, including a win over 13th-ranked Lake Forest College. Chrisman played a total of 179 minutes between the three games adding an assist against Millikin. 
 

Tackney, Mitchell

Defensive: Mitchell Tackney – Freshman – Midfielder – Dubuque, Iowa/Dubuque Hempstead
 

Mitchell Tackney bolstered the Warhawks’ defensive midfield in their 2-0-1 week that featured a win over 13th-ranked Lake Forest College. Tackney played the entire game against the Foresters, limiting the team to just four shots on goal. The freshman also played the entire contest at UW-Eau Claire as UWW held the Blugolds to a single goal leading to the draw.
 

Women's Soccer

Curtis, Summer

Offensive: Summer Curtis – Senior – Forward – Cary, Ill./Cary Grove
 

Summer Curtis scored two goals in the Warhawks’ conference win over UW-Stout. Curtis scored the opening goal of the game in the 8th minute. She collected her first brace of the year with another goal in the 65th minute to put UWW up 3-0. 
 

Gunderson, Anna

Defensive: Anna Gunderson – Junior – Defender – Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago
 

Anna Gunderson held down the defensive end for the Warhawks as UWW collected two conference wins last week. Gunderson played the entirety of the matches against UW-Oshkosh and UW-Stout. The Warhawks held the Titans to just three corner kick opportunities and UW-Stout to a single chance from the corner. Against the Blue Devils, Gunderson recorded an assist on the initial corner kick that led to the Warhawks’ first goal of the game. 
 

Women's Tennis

Remke, Kaitlyn

Singles: Kaitlyn Remke – Freshman – Johnsburg, Ill./Marian Central
 

Kaitlyn Remke took the third singles bracket at the Wisconsin Classic Tournament on Sunday. After a first round bye, Remke only dropped one game in the semifinal match (4-0, 4-1) to set up a tough challenge against Lauren Lindow of UW-La Crosse. Both sets went 4-3, but Remke battled it out to win the pair of tiebreakers – 4-3(3) and 4-3(9). 
 

Volleyball

Krzus, Aubrie

Setter: Aubrie Krzus – Junior – Setter – Wheaton, Ill./Warrenville South
 

Aubrie Krzus averaged 8.50 assists per set in a pair of five-setters for the Warhawks last week. The junior posted at least 40 assists in each match adding 11 kills on a .258 attack percentage. From the service line, she added three aces while registering 21 digs and 5 total blocks. 
 

Lego, Emily

Offense: Emily Lego – Junior – Right Side – Rock Falls, Ill./Rock Falls
 

Emily Lego tallied a career high in the kill column for the second consecutive week. The junior registered 15 kills in a five-setter against #10 Colby Saturday. For the week, she tallied 22 kills with an attack percentage of .268, an average of 2.20 per set. Lego added six blocks on the weekend. 
 

Lawton, Natalie

Defense: Natalie Lawton – Freshman – Libero – Elmhurst, Ill./IC Catholic Prep
 

Natalie Lawton posted a career high in digs with 30 in the Warhawks’ five-setter against #10 Colby Saturday. For the week, Lawton averaged 4.80 digs per set. In serve-receive, Lawton drew a majority of the serves, committing just two errors in 53 receptions.
