The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's and women's tennis programs have been recognized by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association for academic success.
Eight Warhawk men were honored as ITA Scholar Athletes including
Chase Lindwall (Cottage Grove, Wis./Monona Grove),
Jordan Oaks (Wales, Wis./Kettle Moraine),
Josh Baldwin (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie),
Josh Guillermo (Muskego, Wis./Marquette University HS),
Luke VanDonslear (Marion, Iowa/Linn Mar),
Ridley Aranda (Bayside, Wis./Nicolet),
Theo Billson (Lindfield, England/BHASVIK) and
Will Ulrich (Lincoln, Neb./Pius X). Six Warhawks represented the UW-Whitewater women's program with individual honors from the ITA including
Ashley Adkisson (Licolnshire, IL/Stevensen),
Cassie Lee (Downers Grove, Ill./Timothy Christian),
Katelyn Pawlak (Green Bay, WI/Bayport),
MacKenzie Lindow (East Troy, Wis./East Troy),
Megan Griswold (Oconomowoc, Wis./Oconomowoc) and
Sara Sowinski (Waunakee, Wis./Waunakee).
To be recognized with the ITA All-Academic Team honor, teams must carry a grade point average of at least 3.2. Individuals are eligible for the ITA Scholar Athlete award if they have a grade point average of at least 3.5 for the academic year.
The ITA recognized 129 institutions and 1,079 student-athletes for academic success on the men's side in 2023-24. A total of 167 women's programs and 1,271 student-athletes were honored for their work in the classroom during the last academic year.
