The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's gymnastics team opened the 2024 campaign with a victory in a triangular hosted by UW-Eau Claire Thursday evening. The Warhawks registered a team total of 188.900 followed by the Blugolds with 186.900 and Winona State came in third with a total of 184.625.

UW-Whitewater opened competition on the balance beam. The Warhawks totaled a 47.325 led by a 9.575 from
Danielle Dudziak (Lorain, Ohio/Amherst Steele) and a 9.525 for
Chloe Hammond (Ankeny, Iowa/Ankeny). The pair of UWW gymnasts finished fourth and fifth in the event respectively.
Sarah Knetzke (Ozark, Mo./Springfield Catholic) (9.450),
Paige Magel (Cary, Ill./Prairie Ridge) (9.425) and
Tegan Haberstock (Alberta, Canada/National Sport School) (9.350) all landed among the top 10 in the event to round out UWW's scoring five.

On the floor exercise,
Carleigh Moore (Oregon, Wis./Oregon) was the runner-up with a score of 9.625 followed by Dudziak in third with a 9.600. Knetzke and
Elena Bailey (Woodbridge, Va./Woodbridge Senior) tied for seventh with 9.525s. Magel's 9.475 counted as the fifth score for the Warhawk total in the event.

UW-Whitewater's best event of the evening was the vault as the Warhawks swept the top three places. Hammond's 9.600 was tops at the meet followed by a pair of 9.575s from
Ava Pesch (Waterford, Wis./Waterford Union) and Moore. Dudziak tied for fifth with a score of 9.525 and Bailey's 9.400 tied for eighth. UWW registered a team total of 47.675 on the apparatus.

The Warhawks wrapped up the meet with a 46.875 on the uneven bars.
Kelsey Kollhoff (Miamisburg, Ohio/Miamisburg) led the way with a 9.675 – the top score at the meet by two-tenths. Magel added a 9.375 to tie for fifth while
Hayden Gough (Dallas, Texas/Dallas International School) registered a 9.350 to claim seventh on the individual leaderboard. Pesch and Dudziak rounded out the scoring five with scores of 9.300 and 9.175.

Dudziak claimed the all-around title with a total of 37.875. Hammond was fourth with an all-around total of 37.100.
