Morton, Former Warhawk Standout, Named Assistant Coach for Wisconsin

Former University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's basketball standout Tiffany Morton has joined the coaching staff for the Badgers' women's basketball team. 

Morton, a two-time All-American for the Warhawks, led UW-Whitewater to its best season in program history with a 29-4 record in 2007-08. That season, the Warhawks claimed the WIAC tournament title and made a run to the NCAA Division III Final Four where she earned All-Tournament Team honors. 

A three-time All-WIAC pick, Morton broke the UWW record with 28 career double-doubles and ended her career with top ten marks in scoring (1,215), rebounding (740) and blocks (98). 

Following her playing career, Morton remained with the Warhawk women's basketball program as a graduate assistant from 2010-12. From there, she made her first stops at Montevallo (Ala.) and Louisiana State, Morton spent one year at Wagner before moving on to Mercer where she stayed for three seasons. She spent three seasons at Georgia State and was most recently at Rice. 

The Beloit native who is an alumna of both UW-Whitewater and UW-Milwaukee, now returns to her home state as an assistant coach for the Badgers. In her 12 years of coaching, the teams Morton has worked with have compiled a 221-139 record.
