The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater continued their weekend against Division I opponents Saturday falling to Northern Illinois 6-1.
Cassie Lee (Downers Grove, Ill./Timothy Christian) and
Gracie Ha (Palatine, Ill./Fremd) picked up the lone win in competition for UWW. The Warhawk duo topped NIU's Josefina Trella and McKenna Chudy 6-4 at No. 3 doubles.
Kasey Schlicht (Pewaukee, Wis./Pewaukee) paired with
Kellie Ha (Palatine, Ill./Fremd) and
Courtney Day (Oshkosh, Wis./North) teamed with
Gianna Nikoleit (Elmhurst, Ill./York Community) at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles respectively, both falling 6-0.
Molly Asfeld (Waukesha, Wis./West) registered a victory at No. 5 singles winning by walkover. Lee also pushed her No. 2 singles opponent falling 6-3, 6-3 to Diana Lukyanova. Nikoleit represented the Warhawks at No. 1 singles falling to Erika Dimitriev 6-2, 6-1. Schlicht's No. 3 singles match ended 6-1, 6-3 while
Kellie Ha (Palatine, Ill./Fremd) dropped her No. 4 singles bout 6-0, 6-1.
Gracie Ha (Palatine, Ill./Fremd) wrapped up competition at No. 6 singles falling 6-1, 6-3 to Chudy.
