The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater wrestling team finished tenth in the National Wrestling Coaches Association Multi-Division National Dual Meet Championships sponsored by the U.S. Marine Corps. The multi-divisional meet presented by ARMS Software, Defense Soap and Capital Construction and hosted by NUWAY Combat in Lexington, Kentucky featured 95 teams across six divisions including Division I, II, III, NAIA men and women, NCAA women, and NCWA men. The tournament features 25 Division III squads including eighth-seeded UWW.

3:45 p.m. Saturday - The Warhawks opened Saturday with a 28-11 win over Castleton, tied for 25th in the national tournament rankings, bolstered by back-to-back falls for
Jaritt Shinhoster (Hoffman Estates, Ill./Barrington) at 184 pounds and
Evan Danowski (Waterford, Wis./Waterford Union) at 197 pounds.
Shelby Jones (Dodgeville, Wis./Dodgeville) made it three straight wins to seal the 28-11 win for UWW.
In the battle for ninth, UW-Whitewater took on 23rd-ranked Luther falling to the Norse 24-16.
Dominik Mallinder (Roselle, Ill./Lake Park),
Dakarai Clay (Madison, Wis./Madison East) and
Jake Burford (Crown Point, Ind./Crown Point) gave the Warhawks a lead with three consecutive major decisions at 133, 141 and 149 pounds respectively. The Norse took five of the final six bouts of the match for the final.
The Warhawks finished 2-3 to take tenth in the tournament.
6:30 p.m.- UW-Whitewater wrapped up the day against 10th-ranked Loras College. The feature bout had the top-ranked 184-pounder of Loras against UWW's
Jaritt Shinhoster (Hoffman Estates, Ill./Barrington), ranked second in the nation in the weight class. Shinhoster registered a takedown in the first, an escape early in the second and then picked up a point for riding time in the 4-0 shutout win. After going 1-2 Friday, the Warhawks will battle in the 9-12th-place bracket beginning Saturday morning.
3:45 p.m. - The Warhawks bounced back from an opening loss to fifth-ranked Baldwin Wallace with a 24-14 win over Millikin Friday afternoon.

Ryan Riser (Bloomingdale, Ill./Lake Park) and Shinhoster won by major decision, technical fall and fall respectively to bolster UWW's victory.
12:15 p.m. - The Warhawks, ranked ninth in the latest NWCA tournament rankings opened the duals against fifth-ranked Baldwin Wallace. UWW dropped the dual via match point tiebreak 17-16.
Clay had one of the most exciting bouts of the morning at 141 pounds. Coming back from a nearfall in the first period, Clay registered nearfall points late in the third and then picked up one point for riding time for the one-point victory.
