The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater gymnastics team placed third Friday night at Division I Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Ill.
Competing against the Huskies and Division II Lindenwood (Mo.), the Warhawks totaled a season-high 192.275, the seventh-highest team score in program history.
UW-Whitewater started the night on floor exercise, finishing with a 48.375, which is the ninth-highest total at one meet in program history.
Faith Mylin (Elgin, Ill./Harvest Christian Academy) tied for eighth to lead UW-W, posting a 9.775, tied for the No. 22 score in program history.
Emily North (Oklahoma City, Okla./Moore) tied for 10th with a career-high 9.750.
Kelsey Kollhoff (Miamisburg, Ohio/Miamisburg) recorded a 9.650 to finish 14th,
Kara Welsh (Plainfield, Ill./Central) tallied a personal-record 9.625 to tie for 15th, and
Meg McGinley (Indianapolis, Ind./Cathedral) placed 17th with a season-best 9.575.

Rachel Lewellen (Ripley, Miss./Ripley) tied for fourth with matching 9.700s to lead the Warhawks on vault, where the team totaled a 47.975, the 11th-best score in the program record book. McGinley scored a 9.600 to tie for 12th overall. North (9.500) and Mylin (9.475) placed 15th and 16th, respectively.
Three gymnasts represented UW-Whitewater among the top 10 on uneven bars to help the team collect a 48.425, the highest score of the night in any event and the No. 3 mark in program history.
Richella Velarmino (Bonney Lake, Wash./John R. Rogers) smashed her personal record with a 9.825, tied for the second-best in the even in the school record book, to tie for fourth overall. Kollhoff tied for seventh with a career-best 9.775, matching the No. 10 score in school history, while
Estee Flom (Englewood, Colo./Cherry Creek) finished 10th with a personal-record 9.725, tying the 25th-highest score in the school record book.
Taiya Stelmachowski (Plainfield, Ill./Central) posted a career-best 9.650 to tie for 11th, and
Mia Falcone (Winter Springs, Fla./Seven Oaks Preparatory) placed 14th in her UW-W debut with a 9.450.
The Warhawks completed the meet on balance beam with a 47.500. Kollhoff led the team with an eighth-place finish after scoring a personal-best 9.725, tied for the No. 23 score in program history.
Lauren Goble (Aurora, Colo./Legend) registered her career record with a 9.650 to finish 11th, while McGinley earned a personal-best 9.625 to place 12th. North scored a 9.425 to finish 15th, and Mylin placed 17th with a 9.075.
North finished third in the all-around competition with a 37.325.
UW-Whitewater hosts UW-La Crosse next Friday, Feb. 11, at 7 p.m. for the team's annual Breast Cancer Awareness meet at Russell Arena.
