The No. 7 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's basketball team wraps up the regular season this Wednesday as it visits UW-Oshkosh for a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference contest at 7 p.m.

The Warhawks (22-2 overall, 12-1 WIAC) have clinched the WIAC regular season championship for the 10th time in program history and the third time in the last five years. Seeding for the WIAC Tournament, which begins this Friday, will be announced following Wednesday's games. The top two seeds in the conference tournament earn a double bye to the semifinals, which are set for Feb. 23.
On Saturday, UW-Whitewater recognized
Courtney Oomens (Lake Geneva, Wis./Badger),
Rebekah Schumacher (Whitewater, Wis./Whitewater) and
Johanna Taylor (Wauwatosa, Wis./East) on Senior Day presented by Educators Credit Union and posted an 87-56 win against UW-Stout.
Aleah Grundahl (DeForest, Wis./DeForest) led all scorers with 18 points for UW-W, which turned 28 Blue Devil turnovers into 36 points at the other end and grabbed 20 offensive rebounds for 20 second chance points. Taylor finished with 10 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks.
Earlier in the week, the Warhawks limited UW-Platteville to 27.1 percent shooting and scored 29 points off turnovers in a 56-35 triumph at Kachel Gymnasium. Grundahl collected 13 points, seven rebounds, four assists and two steals, and
Kacie Carollo (Whitewater, Wis./Whitewater) posted 10 points and two steals. UW-W finished with 21 steals in the contest.
Wednesday, Feb. 16, 7 p.m. – at UW-Oshkosh, (Radio: 940 AM WFAW)
UW-Oshkosh (17-5, 6-4) has won five of its last six games entering the week, including a 59-57 double-overtime victory at UW-La Crosse on Saturday. The Titans led by 14 points at halftime before the Eagles rallied to force overtime. UWO held UWL to 26.5 percent shooting in the game and committed only 12 turnovers on the offensive end.
Leah Porath leads UW-Oshkosh in scoring with 14.7 points per game on 49.4 percent shooting from the floor. She also leads the team in rebounding with 6.1 per game. Nikki Arneson also averages double figures in scoring with 12.2 points per contest. The Titans lead the WIAC in scoring defense, allowing 49.3 points per outing.
On Jan. 5, Grundahl knocked down a game-tying 3-pointer in the closing seconds of regulation to force overtime, and
Yssa Sto. Domingo (Streamwood, Ill./St. Edward) connected on a go-ahead 3-pointer with 38 seconds to play in overtime as the Warhawks edged the Titans by a 67-63 score at Kachel Gymnasium. Grundahl and Carollo each registered 14 points to lead UW-W, which held a 46-35 advantage in rebounding.
