The No. 8 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's basketball team looks to continue its unbeaten run in Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play with two more games this week.
The Warhawks (13-1, 4-0 WIAC) visit UW-Platteville Wednesday at 7 p.m. before hosting UW-River Falls for Alumni Day this Saturday at 3 p.m.

Last Wednesday, UW-Whitewater defeated No. 18 UW-Oshkosh 67-63 in a thrilling overtime contest.
Aleah Grundahl (DeForest, Wis./DeForest), who finished with 14 points, hit a game-tying 3-pointer with five seconds left in regulation, and
Yssa Sto. Domingo (Streamwood, Ill./St. Edward) scored seven points in the extra period, including a go-ahead 3-pointer with 38 seconds left in the game.
Kacie Carollo (Whitewater, Wis./Whitewater) also tallied 14 points.
On Saturday, the Warhawks outscored No. 10 UW-Eau Claire 40-8 on points in the paint and tallied assists on 25 of their 29 baskets on their way to a 73-64 win. Grundahl recorded a career-high 28 points,
Rebekah Schumacher (Whitewater, Wis./Whitewater) knocked down four 3-pointers on her way to 14 points, and
Johanna Taylor (Wauwatosa, Wis./East) finished with 11 points, five rebounds, five assists and two blocks.
Wednesday, Jan. 12, 7 p.m. – at UW-Platteville
UW-Platteville (9-4, 2-1) played one game last week after its Wednesday game against UW-Eau Claire was postponed due to inclement weather. The Pioneers were outscored 44-28 in the paint in a 60-45 loss at UW-Stout on Saturday.
Maiah Domask enters Wednesday's game with team highs in points (16.9 per game), rebounds (10.5 pe game), assists (35) and steals (25). Sarah Mueller also averages double figures in scoring with 10.1 points per game. Both players shoot better than 50 percent from the floor.
The Warhawks swept the season series against the Pioneers during the abbreviated 2020-21 season, including a 64-53 triumph on Feb. 19, 2021, in Whitewater. Grundahl registered 22 points and Taylor scored 10 points for UW-W, which made 20-of-27 from the free-throw line and forced 22 turnovers.
Saturday, Jan. 15, 3 p.m. – vs. UW-River Falls
UW-River Falls (7-5, 0-3) last played on Wednesday, when it was downed 64-58 at UW-Stevens Point. The Falcons, who had won three straight entering the contest, led by eight through three quarters but were outscored 23-9 in the fourth. UWRF's game Saturday at UW-Oshkosh was canceled due to COVID-19 protocols.
Macy Nilsen leads UW-River Falls in scoring with 16.3 points per game to go along with 5.5 rebounds per contest. Jenna Zeman and Colie Justice also average double figures in scoring with 13.9 and 11.7 points per game, respectively.
The Warhawks last played the Falcons on Feb. 8, 2020, recording a 71-45 victory at Kachel Gymnasium. Schumacher and Becky Raeder each finished with 16 points, and
Courtney Oomens (Lake Geneva, Wis./Badger) added 10 points for UW-W, which forced 24 turnovers and held UWRF to 29.8 percent shooting.
UW-River Falls hosts UW-La Crosse Wednesday at 7 p.m. before traveling to Whitewater Saturday.
