Four individuals from the No. 8 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's cross country team completed the men's 8-kilometer race Friday at the Carthage College Firebird Classic at Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course in Kenosha.
Nick Hardin (Greenfield, Wis./Whitnall) and
Nick Schmidt (Sussex, Wis./Hamilton) led the group of Warhawks, placing sixth and seventh overall, respectively. Hardin posted a time of 27:59.2, while Schmidt finished just behind with a 28:01.6.
Landen Bratt (Waukesha, Wis./West) placed 31st overall, crossing the finish line in 29:29.0.
Prue Thomas (Bolingbrook, Ill./Bolingbrook) posted a time of 29:40.8 to finish 37th overall.
UW-Whitewater resumes action next Saturday, Oct. 16, at the Oberlin College's Inter-Regional Rumble. The women's race is set for 9:30 a.m. Central Time, while the men's race is slated for 10:15 a.m. Central Time in Oberlin, Ohio.
