UW-W Subway Athletes of the Week (Dec. 7-13)

For the week of December 7-13, 2020:

UW-W SUBWAY ATHLETES OF THE WEEK:

WRESTLING
	Dylan Uzumecki (Batavia, Ill./Batavia), Junior Uzumecki helped the Warhawk wrestling team finish second at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship and third at the NCAA Upper Midwest Regional with a strong season competing at heavyweight in 2020. He finished with a 23-18 record and second team All-WIAC honors after finishing as the heavyweight runner-up at the conference meet. Uzumecki followed up that performance with a sixth-place showing at the regional tournament. As a freshman in 2017-18, Uzumecki tallied a 9-11 record with two pins. He is majoring in environmental science.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
	Emily Schumacher (Waukesha, Wis./Waukesha South), Senior, Guard Schumacher helped the UW-Whitewater women's basketball team win the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regular season championship and reach the NCAA Tournament in 2019-20 despite an abbreviated season. After appearing in nine games and averaging 8.3 points and 3.2 rebounds per game, Schumacher suffered a season-ending injury. Her performance over that stretch helped the Warhawks to an 8-1 start. In 2018-19, Schumacher was named first team All-WIAC after averaging 12.0 points per game and making 58 three-pointers, good for second in the conference. A two-year member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll, Schumacher is majoring in art.
