The No. 18 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater wrestling team posted a 3-0 record in three duals Saturday at the D3 National Challenge at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
The Warhawks started the day with a 49-6 triumph over Case Western Reserve, then topped No. 22 Stevens Institute of Technology (N.J.) by a 27-19 score. UW-Whitewater bested Alma (Mich.) 45-3 to close the trip.

Mike Tortorice (Wauconda, Ill./Carmel), ranked No. 1 in the nation at 125 pounds by D3wrestle.com, registered two pins and one technical fall for the day. Rice, ranked No. 2 at 141 pounds, tallied one pin and a major decision against No. 5 ranked Brendan Ladd of Alma.
Devin Tortorice (Wauconda, Ill./Carmel) collected one pin, one technical fall and one major decision at 149 pounds. Sigler finished with one technical fall, and Shinhoster, ranked No. 6 at 174, recorded three pins.
Sophomore
Dylan Uzumecki (Batavia, Ill./Batavia) was 2-0 in his bouts at 285 pounds, including a pin against Case Western Reserve.
The Warhawks head to the National Wrestling Coaches Association National Duals next Friday and Saturday, Jan. 10-11, in Louisville, Ky.
